Project 137: Kitchen

We finished up in the kitchen this weekend!  We still have to decide how to complete the backsplash, but it feels done to me!

We did this project with basically just paint and vinyl peel and stick tile!

Cabinet paint: We used Benjamin Moore advance interior paint.  The color is coventry grey.

Countertop paint: We used the Giani kit in white diamond.  I did not follow the kit exactly.  I did start with rolling on the black primer and letting it dry for 8 hours.  Then I sponged on a layer of quartzite.  I finished with sponging on 5 layers of white limestone.   I let each layer of paint dry at least 2 hours before applying the next coat.  I only had to use one kit even though it recommended buying two!

Flooring:  A Walmart find!  We bought the Sienna peel and stick vinyl floor tiles.  Super easy to put in!  It only took us about 2 hours.

Hardware for cabinets and drawers:  We found good prices on Amazon.  Knobs here and pulls here.

SO happy we are done and couldn’t be happier with our end result!  And K was a patient boy as we DIY’ed away!

We had a busy weekend and are exhaustedddd.  We made a quick zoodles and chicken for dinner and now we are relaxing and getting ready to watch my FAVORITE show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Hope your weekend was top notch!
