not to jinx anything… but smiles and (sometimes) sleep has come easier for us the past few days. The last 3 nights L has slept from 10ish-4am so that has felt pretty great.
This dinner came together pretty fast. I used THE BEST chicken marinade for the grilled chicken. The asparagus I just sautéed in a pan with olive oil and s+p. For the brussel sprouts I used our Ninja foodie. I washed and halved 12 oz of brussels. I put about 1/3 of a block of cream cheese, s+p, and 1 tbsp of garlic into the pot. I put it on the steam mode for 2 minutes. Then I mixed in 1/4 cup of parm cheese. It was phenomenal I will for sure make that again!
Target has the cutest toddler boy shoes for fall. They had a great deal too with buy 1 get 1 50% off so I took advantage and got K all his new shoes for the next season. How cute are they!?!
K is still obsessed with his little brother. He likes to sit with him on his beanbag chair. Which L tolerates pretty well actually.
Tub time consists of K lining up all his toys on the tub ledge. Usually I have L strapped to me in a wrap so it’s not the easiest task right now but he is pretty happy playing by himself.
It was TIME for a real haircut for K. I can only do so many trims before he needed the real deal. His hair is so tough to cut because it is pin straight that it is hard to get it all blended together so it doesn’t look like a chop job. I did okay over quarantine… but I didn’t trust myself to do a short haircut for him.
He sat so so well but he only kept kept the mask on for a few minutes. They didn’t seem to mind though that he took it off. Kids over 2 need to be wearing a mask but how do you keep a mask on a 2 year old??
And then a teenager came out of that salon!! He looks so much older with a short haircut!! It hurt my mama heart a little for him to look so old.
I think she could have done a better job fading it in the back so I am going to try to do that this weekend. I might need to watch some YouTube videos to give me some confidence!
