Anyone else’s kids asking for snacks 87,000 times a day? Today we finished breakfast at 8:57am and a snack was asked for at 9:50am. So in an attempt to limit the processed snacks that we usually just save for getting through errands in one piece, I made some homemade bars for k.
peanut butter banana oat bars
ingredients:
4 ripe bananas, mashed
1/3 cup peanut butter
2 cups oats (I used old-fashioned but quick oats would probably work even better!)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine bananas, peanut butter, vanilla, and cinnamon in a medium sized bowl. Add in oats and stir until combined. Spread out in a parchment paper lined 9×9 baking dish. Bake for 25 minutes and cut into desired shape.
** feel free to add in your own mix ins! chocolate chips, nuts, mini m&ms, raisins…
This batch should last us 1.5 days… enjoy feeding your snack attack!
