New Beginnings.

So I quit my job this week…

Before the baby I was working full-time in a urology office.  I feel very strongly about being home at least part-time with my baby so I had to leave my position.  It was bittersweet to make that phone call but I think it will be for the best.  I will be working per diem for now until I find something part time that works for us.

On a more positive note, this baby has been sleeping 12 hours!  He will still wake to eat once (maybe twice) but the early bedtime is making a big difference.img_2274

I started the day with another yogurt bowl and after a quick doctors appointment we hunkered down for a day at home so we could get napping routines situated.img_2268

Baby K napped like a champion all day and I got some time to relax.img_2272

The day concluded with successfully putting K to bed at 7 p.m. and then a night with a friend at a tavern down the road.  I went out with one of my best friends from college. Well, we technically met in middle school but apparently driving to and from college in Michigan listening to boy bands really creates a bond.  She moved literally 90 seconds down the road and it has been the best thing!img_2276

Wine obviously and (her) pizza.  This was just a house chardonnay so nothing to brag about but it wasn’t bad.img_2277

Hope you are having a happy week!  The weekend is in sight!
